Use it HOT or COLD
More than 90% of all lower GI polypectomies concern polyps < 10 mm. For this reason the chosen technique to remove polyps should be as safe and efficient as possible to guarantee a complete resection.
It is particularly demanding to remove polyps gently and to achieve a good quality of the resected tissue at the same time, if polyps are small and located in the caecum and right colon.
The first truly versatile option, offering either Hot or Cold Snaring:
COLD SNARING (WITHOUT HF CURRENT) | HOT SNARING (WITH HF CURRENT) |
---|---|
Polyps ∅ 3-5mm | Polyps ∅ 8-15mm |
Significantly better and more complete resection (93.2%) compared to biopsy forceps (75.9%)* | Gentle tissue ablation thank to Compacted Wire Technology-cutting wire (for more information please visit www.medwork.com/cwt) |
Polyps ∅ 5-8mm | |
No risk of post-polypectomy coagulation syndrome |
